Here are some reviews from amazon:
Most fascinating. I found it easy to read and very thought-provoking. A great achievement and very inspiring, loved every minute of the book!
J.S. Morgane’s work that is based on the Avalon books of Marion Zimmer-Bradley is very well structured. It gives not only a very good chronological insight into the events as depicted in Zimmer-Bradley’s books, but also into the religion of the Great Mother Goddess in a mainly European context based on archeological, historical and political evidence. It shows how Marion Zimmer-Bradley weaves the proven facts of archeological and historical research concerning pre-historic spiritual life into a cycle of epic fantasy novels. Thus, J.S. Morgane’s book provides a very good overview on the understanding of post-modern spirituality generally and its application in fantastic literature using the example of Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Avalon cycle specifically.
